First Impression Review Too Faced Born This Way Liquid Foundation

I got this new foundation at the Too Faced booth in the shade Light Beige. I have the skin tone of C3 with Mac Studio fix Foundation and 125 in Maybelline foundation so you get a better idea of my skin tone in comparison to your own.
This new foundation is said to launch late June as I was told in the event and they have 12 diffrent shades all in all. Its said that this contains coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid. Although those ingredients are the selling point of the product, they appear in the middle to the last in the ingredients list which could indicate that it may or may not have a major impact to the formulation of the product. I am not a cosmetics ingredients expert its just a hypothesis I came up when I saw the ingredients list. Here is the Cosdna analysis of the ingredients indicated on the box.
The texture of the foundation is somewhat viscous but light enough that when you blend it in your skin it doesn't feel like you have a mask on that your skin can't breath because its very lightweight.
Bare face with only moisturizer and sunscreen on.
With the foundation on.
Finished make up look above and below I put my MAC studofix powder foundation on top of this.
 REVIEW
I would say this foundation gives a natural coverage to the skin, although I don't think it was adequate enough in blurring out my pores. As for coverage I don't think its a full coverage foundation at all I would say only medium coverage since I still used my Mac studio fix powder foundation to blur out some of my blemishes on the cheek and chin areas. Also I never experienced any caking at all and it's very easy to build up from light to medium coverage only though. As for the longevity of the product on my face, I have super oily skin so I find that after 3 hours of application I was already really oily even with my primer on, so I say this is not great for super oily skin types like mine. I don't think this would be an ideal summer foundation for me.

Influenster Soapbox Review

So I received a Soapbox Shampoo and Conditioner last April from Influenster. I  received the the Bataua fruit which they say is a native to the Amazonian rainforests of Brazil and long regarded for its root-to-tip hair repairing talent. Packed with essential fatty acids and amino acids, it works by nourishing both the scalp and hair.

I have been using this combo for a while now and I really like it so far. The shampoo lathers really well and cleans my hair as it should. The scent reminds me of passion fruit although the fragrance doesn't stay long on the hair. The conditioner provides adequate amount of moisture to my hair making it soft and smooth. I also am liking the fact that this doesn't contain sulfates and parabens which could be deemed harmful over time.

Not only is this very affordable and can be bought from Target, my favorite store, but every purchase of any soap box product also provides a month's supply of clean water to a community in need through their partner Splash. According to my Hope code my Shampoo and Conditioner are helping provide water to the communities in Nepal and Thailand, I love giving back and with just purchasing a simple as a shampoo and conditioner would greatly help to other communities make me wanna support this brand even more. I am really thankful to Influenster for giving me the opportunity to review this product.

First Impression Review: Memebox Pony XO Starter Set Review

When they released the Pony 2 palette they did a starter set which includes Memebox collection powder brush, blush, eyeliner, lip crayon (all randomly chosen) and Pony 2 palette for $39 which is a pretty good steal but I used my $5 off $30 purchase for this and some memepoints so I end up paying less than $20 plus it was free shipping. If you are interested you can purchase it here.

Here are the swatches of the Pony 2 palette from top to bottom, shine peach, glam violet, shine dew, shine rose, glam mocha, shine beige, glam choco, glam, and glam bronze.
From left to right, I'm eyeliner in Jade, I'm blush in Petal Pink, and I'm Lip Crayon in Bella.
The look I came up with the makeup set.
OVERALL REVIEW
The palette itself is considerably smaller than the first pony palette which I like because it can fit on any makeup purse and perfect for travel. When I swatched the individual shadows I find that it's a little grainy to the touch as expected because all the eyeshadows are glittered. The colors of all the eyeshadows are not that pigmented but it's definitely buildable so you have better control of how much you apply. I don't really liked the brush that it came with it's useless and I don't think you have much control when applying the eyeshadows, that I just ended up using my own finger and brushes to blend and apply. As for the eyeliner I liked the shade Jade I don't have an eyeliner in this shade yet, the shade looks like khaki green with gold sparkle to it and once its dry it's smudgeproof. The blush shade I got am not to thrilled coz it's more like a highlighter than a brush its barely noticeable on my cheeks, I would have loved a much more darker shade. The lip crayon I am so happy I got Bella coz that's the only shade that am interested in out of the whole lip crayon collection. The powder brush feels so soft to the touch that I will be definitely be using it for my face powder.

Colourpop Cosmetics Forget the Fruitcake and Lumiere Review and Swatches

Finally I have ordered my first Colourpop cosmetics. I have been eyeing this brand for a while now and I can't help myself anymore. I ordered the Forget the Fruitcake lippie stix Holiday Collection and the Lumiere lippie stix and lippie pencil, then I got a free lippie primer with my purchase. I ordered on Dec 6 then I got my package on Dec 12. And OMG I love the packaging its so pretty! <3 I can't believe this only cost $5 per lippie stix and pencil!!!
I love this lippie primer! Its makes your lips velvety smooth so that when you apply the lippies it goes on smoothly! This is like the Benefit Porefessional but for lips!!!!!
I was really concerned at first because most of the shades are matte I never wear MAC lipsticks because most of the shades I like their are matte, which are too drying for my lips but this matte formula doesn't do that to my lips. I love all the shades and I think it fits no matter skin tone you have! ^.^The swatches are (from left to right) Cookie (matte), Tuxedo (hyper glossy), Confetti (hyper glossy), Cheers ( matte), Lady (matte), Tutu (matte).
Swatch for (left to right) Lumiere lippie stix and lippie pencil.
Lip swatch for Cookie (True Nude Beige, Matte Finish)
Lip swatch for Lumiere (Dusty mauve pink, matte finish)
Tuxedo (Cool toned neon pink, hyper glossy finish)
Confetti (True blue red, hyper glossy finish)
Cheers (Deep raspberry, matte finish)
Lady (Cool toned dirty burgundy, matte finish)
Tutu ( Blackened red violet, matte finish)
TOTAL REVIEW
I love all the shades I am so happy I got this! I am gonna order a bunch more from Colourpop cosmetics! I have my eyes on the Megan Naik eye shadow quad and all the Holiday Collection they have right now are to die for! This post is not in any way sponsored I bought all of this with my own money.

Memebox Pony Palette and Memebrush Review and Swatches

I bought the Pony Palette together with the Memebrush set for $36. My first impression of the Pony palette is that it has a good selection of eye shadows four mattes and four shimmers. The packaging is very sturdy and it not a big palette it's size is almost the same size of my iPhone 6. I am not impressed by the brushes that comes with it though, my fingers are much more better than this brushes. LOL!
Swatches of the matte eye shadows.
Swatches of the shimmer eye shadows.
Looks that created with the Memebox Pony Palette.
These are the Memebrush which consist of 6 brushes. I like that this are portable and the case and look of the brushes are really classy.

TOTAL REVIEW
I really love the Pony palette even though it's not super pigmented you can totally build up the color by piling it on. My favorite shade is the shine rosegold and shine cocoa. I think if you are having a lazy day I just use my finger to swipe the shimmer eyeshadows on my lids and call it a day, but you can also recreate a lot of very dramatic and classic smokey eye with this palette.

Rating: 9/10

With the memebrush I am not totally impressed, they are decent enough but I think for a price tag of $18 you can buy a real techniques or eco tools brush set which are much more good quality. The set I think lacks a blending brush and a foundation brush. I like that the lip brush is attached with concealer brush which is a good combo if you are doing a bold lip and need to clean up the outside of the lips with concealer. The eyeliner/brow brush has long bristles that it's hard to control for precision. The rest are okay to me I don't reach for it too much though.

Rating:6/10.

If you are interested on buying some of this you can do so here. They have a lot of other Memebox brand items available at the store right now so do check it out. I am still waiting for my Membox dual eyeshadow in Soul from my TesterKorea Haul so I will be posting on a review on that soon here so be sure to check back! ^.^

First Impression: Eco Tools Pure Complexion Sponge

I was curious on trying out cleansing sponges I saw on Sephora the Konjac Cleansing Sponge but it was priced $15 so I was turned down right away I didn't want to spend that much money for a cleansing sponge, and it can only be used for 2-3 months. So I was browsing if this was available in Ulta when I stumble upon the Eco tools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge, it had really great reviews so I decided to purchase this with my Ulta points. It costs around $5.99 but since I have $30 worth of points I just paid for the tax and it was free shipping too because of their promotion that day.

It comes in two varieties sensitive skin and deep cleansing, I got both as I was really curious to try these. I started using the deep cleansing one and I am really impressed it makes my skin feel clean and I can feel when I touch my face that it is really exfoliated and soft. One of my skin problems is that I have oily skin so I have problems with acne, whiteheads and blackheads, I find that this helps in removing some of my whiteheads and blackheads. I use this once a day preferably at night time. And you can just use your ordinary cleanser just put some on the sponge then put some water and when you squeeze, it foams up. I prefer this than some of the facial care face brushes because some of those are really expensive and also this sponge is barely the size of your palm so it's much more portable. I give this product 4/5. I highly recommend that you try it.

First Impression: Real Chemistry Luminous 3 - Minute Peel

So I recently started my Birchbox subscription and I was browsing in Instagram when I stumble upon a post that says you can get 3 free samples of the trial size of this and that you just have to pay for shipping for like $6. So I went to Real Chemistry website check out 3 of the trail sizes and put the code FREESAMPLES. I received the package a week after. I am not sure if this promo is still available up to now but it's worth the shot.

So how does this product work? According to the website, the peel is a “Protein Peel”. It will remove large amounts of excess, dead epidermal cells in seconds. As the synergistic blend of ingredients is gently massaged into the skin, solids form under the fingertips. These are a combination of the peel’s protein-binding ingredients and epidermal protein. 99.5% of consumers who tested the product and have experience with dermabrasion and acid peels, reported that the Real Chemistry Luminous 3 Minute Peel was as effective or more effective, but did not irritate the skin like other methods. This protein peel leaves the skin velvety soft and resurfaced after just one use. Resurfacing is recommended at least once per week for most skin types. The product claims to help with controlling acne breakouts, diminishing dark spots, reducing ingrown hair, evening skin tone, brightening complexion, smoothing and resurfacing skin texture.

Here is an idea of how long the peel may last in your situation:

Ingrown hair (face, bikini): Daily right before shaving (small amount, small area)
Tube life: ~4-5 weeks

Acne: Peel 2-3 times per week
Tube life: ~ 6 weeks

Hyperpigmentation: Peel 1-2 times per week
Tube life: ~7 weeks

Rosacea: Peel 1 time per week
Tube life: ~ 12-15 weeks

Dry Skin: Peel 1 time per week
Tube life: ~12-15 weeks

Oily Skin: Peel twice per week
Tube life: ~6-7 weeks

Sensitive Skin: Peel once every 10 days
Tube life: ~ 4-5 months

I got the 3 tubes of the trial size which is 5ml each tube which I think you can get 2-3 uses from one tube. The consistency of the product is a clear gel and it is easily spreadable to your face, it doesn't have a smell and it also doesn't sting your face when you use it. When you first put it on you can easily see skin coming off then you scrub it all over your face to make sure all the dead skin comes off. I suggest you do this by the sink or inside the shower because it can be a little bit messy. When I rinsed out my face I was really surprised at how smooth it has become like baby soft smooth. I haven't used it that long so I cant say that if the other things it claims to do really does do it but I will continue to use this product for now and see what more it can do for my face. I give this product a score of 4/5 as am really satisfied with it.

You can see more reviews from Birchbox website about this product. And if your interested in buying this product and you are a Birchbox subscriber already you can get points on purchases from their online store and their are also avail promotions going on now that you can get gifts with purchase like Gillian Flynn's books with a $35 purchase. If you haven't subscribe yet to Birchbox and is interested to try it out you can use my affiliate link here if you like. I think you can also purchase this at Ulta and Nordstrom you can consult on Real Chemistry's website about that.
