SUMMER 2013 FAVORITES!!!

So its summertime time to get your tank tops, shorts and flip flops out and head down to the beach. But how can you enjoy going out in about this summer with make up when it makes your face more oily and melts your makeup which is always a nightmare. I have a bad case of oily skin on top of that I have acne and blemish problems so I cannot wear a light coverage makeup. I love that the summertime is my birthday month coz I get a reason to shop for what I want in time to get ready for summer! HAHA... 

So I recently went on a Sephora beauty haul thanks to my Uncle and what I got that I have been using everyday is the Cover FX mattifying primer with acne treatment. Its really expensive though but I have been using this like everyday and it really helped with my breakouts coz it has 1.0% salicylic acid and its also a mattifying primer so it helps with my oily skin. Its paraben, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil and talc free and vegan.

I was looking for a BB cream that I could use this summer with  SPF and I was looking at the tarte BB cream but then they don't have the medium shade in Sephora anymore so the sales lady told me to try the Josie Maran Argan Tinted Moisturizer in Medium 1 . I have never tried a Josie Maran product before and I was skeptic at first coz I have oily skin already and it has argan oil in it but when she swatch it on my hand I was amazed by the coverage of the product with just a little amount. I have been using it everyday and its just amazing I love the coverage, its also fragrance, paraben , and cruelty free, and vegan. This also has SPF 30 which is good coz you dont need a sunscreen before applying your BB cream. 

The next product is an impulse buy coz Kandee Johnson has been using this and I was really curious to try it coz its her must have for summer. I have sparse brows so I haven't found a product that makes my brows look good. So I got the Anastacia Beverly Hills Brow Genius Kit in Brunette. I have tried their clear brow gel from my Sephora birthday gift and I loved it so I was really curious to try this coz its waterproof which I like coz I sweat a lot during the summer. Its a little work coz you have to mix a gel to the loose powder to make a paste but it worth it though coz first it matches my brow color it not that dark so that it makes your brows looks natural.

The next summer fave I really love it my JUNE IPSY glam bag its theme for this month is the INTO THE WILD. What I really loved the Chella highlighter I got been using it for highlighting my brows, cupids bow, inner corner of my eyes and also a concealer for my under eye. Its really creamy so its easy to blend with your ring finger. The next one is the Cailyn gel eyeliner in IRON which I really like coz it not to harsh color not like if you put a black liquid liner and you can smudge it to make it more softer looking and that it also has a built in liner brush. The Starlooks lip pencil I love the texture but I wish that I have gotten TIPSY or TICKE ME PINK instead of BARE coz I dont really love wear nude color lip I thinks it doesn't suit me. I haven't tried the NYX cream blush and the J.Cat glitter cream palette which you can use for body art or even nail art so I am looking forward to trying it out. This whole IPSY bag cost lioke $10/month and this is my second bag and so far I am really loving what they send me and I get to discover other beauty brands. 

Its not just the make up and skin care that's important but also hair care with the more exposure to the sun your hair can get damaged so I recently purchased this Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Moroccan sleek oil treatment  which is $4.69 at TARGET. It doesn't leave an oily residue on your hair and it helps in making my hair more softer, shine and frizz free. I put it on wit my damp hair and when my hair is also dry for more shinier and polished look.

I am so lucky tha I not only have oily skin but also oily hair! GRRRRRRRRR!!!! I have been shampooing my hair everyday but it makes it more dry and makes my hair color fade easier so I finally tried LOREAL's Everstyle energizing dry shampoo and I really loved this coz it smells great and really cheap and neutralizes odor.

So I recently went to Generation Beauty this weekend from June 1-2 2013 and I got a bunch of

free cosmetics from the event. I calculated the total amount of the freebies I got and it was $ 1041.77!!!! So these are all what I got for Saturday and Sunday combined.

I got this from the SMASHBOX treasure hunt a full exposure mascara, lip gloss and photo finish foundation primer.

I also got liquid eyeliners from BH cosmetics and bought some of their products for a good deal like the 10 pc make up brush set which was made from recycled products which only costs $12 from the original price of $30, the concealer palette and 28 neutral eye shadow palette for just $8 each.

I will definitely come to the Generation Beauty next year hopefully in Los Angeles again it was a rewarding experience on my part and I am thankful that I got to attend the very first of many to come. 

My first IPSY GLAM BAG ( MAY)

 First I got A MIRABELLA colour sheer lipstick in DAYDREAM (full size) which costs like $22. It is a beautiful sheer color of a pinkish mauve and it also has a mango butter base which nourishes the lips and its also lead free. I have been using it to give a sheer color to my nude lipsticks like a lip gloss but minus the stickiness. 

Next is the yaby concealer in BUFF which I use everyday now to conceal my dark circles under my eyes and blemishes. I am fairly new to using make up so this is my first concealer ever and I really liked it! It has a creamy texture, extremely easy to apply. » highly pigmented to correct any imperfection on the face and body, creamy and gentle for around the eyes.

I use this now everyday coz I have some long eyebrow hairs and it acts like a hairspray and also it can brush of the excess eyebrow powder or pencil you've put on.

Fourth, the ZOYA nail polish in GIE GIE  its shimmery light shade of pink metallic for an always-appropriate natural pink nail look. I love this color coz its like a neutral pink not a hot pink which you can pair with any color outfit. And most of all this nail polish is BIG 5 FREE that means its FORMALDEHYDE, FORMALDEHYDE RESIN, TOLUENE, CAMPHOR & DIBUTYL PHTHALATE FREE in short its a VEGAN friendly nail color. \

And last but not least I also got the PACIFICA Island Vanilla perfume roll -on  which is a 100% vegan it is inspired by the unique magic of Tahitian vanilla, this sensual blend sets sweet and sultry vanilla absolute, with honey-jasmine notes and a touch of fruitiness, against a deep and beautiful base of tea. It kind of reminds me of baking because of the vanilla notes but also you can smell a subtle hint of jasmine it such a nice scent and you can layer it with another perfume of your choice.

I really got my money's worth with my first IPSY glam bag so if you haven't heard of it yet do check it out if your in the US area! I guess for this bag its about worth $50 but I just got it for $10.9 tax included.
