UNBOXING WARS Ipsy vs Birchbox Unboxing Review December 2014

That time of the month again ladies! My Unboxing Wars between Ipsy and Birchbox!

Here is what I got from my IPSY glambag this month.
Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry

Repair Blow Dry for dry or damaged hair. Repair hair with every blow dry using this heat-protective, serum-in-crème elixir that helps seal split ends for soft, smooth, healthy-looking styles that last up to 3 days. To create your perfect style, work evenly through damp hair then blow-dry with your favorite Bb.Brush. Start small (try a dime-sized amount) then build as necessary.

What I think so far...
I haven't personally tried this brand before but I have seen this around Sephora so I am excited to use this. I don't use much hair products as I am too lazy but I like heat protectants and also anti-frizz oils and serums coz it makes my life much more easier!

Cailyn Cosmetics Just Mineral Eye Polish in Orchid shade
Made with 100% raw mineral powder, this highly pigmented satiny powder not only colors your eyes with shimmery, gorgeous hues, but is also safe to wear long hours. The easy to use built-in sponge tip allows smooth application and seamless blending of colors. Whether you want to give a subtle wash of color or go for dramatic smokey makeup, CAILYN Just Mineral Eye Polish will be a girl's best friend.

What I think so far...
Honestly when I saw this I was like Okay? Am I ever gonna use this? I don't like loose powder eye shadows I am too lazy to deal with all of that! But I was wrong this isn't your typical loose eye shadow its a satin finish which is much more finer. When I used it I didn't see fall outs and the sponge tip makes it really easy to apply. So I am loving this so far.

I used it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. Sorry for the picture quality my phones front facing camera is not that great.
The shade kinda reminds me of the Balm Cindy Lou Minizer I got from Birchbox last month but this is definitley more shimmery than that.
Nourish Organic Renewing Eye Cream
Nourish Organic Renewing Eye Cream provides rich hydration to the delicate skin around the eyes. This powerful product will leave your eyes looking brighter, smoother and younger looking.

Key Ingredients:
• Avocado Oil - Restores and protects skin, while helping retain clarity and brightness.
• Moroccan Argan Oil - Packed with restorative omega fatty acids to intensely hydrate and replenish.
• Shea Butter - Deeply moisturizes and softens skin.

What I think so far...
Seems like a really great eye cream I may save this for traveling purposes or emergency if I ran out of eye creams but I am currently loving my Grinif Rose Water eye cream from Memebox so not looking to switch just yet.

Nyx Butter Lip Balm in Parfait
This Buttery Lip Balm is addictively soft and scrumptious and perfect for adding a subtle hint of color for a naturally flirtatious pout. Apply directly to bare lips or apply it over lip liner for more intense color.

What I think so far...
Oh! I am a big fan of NYX when it comes to their NYX butter gloss and lipsticks but I have never tried this yet unfortunately but now I can! I am sure I would love this too I just know it! ^.^

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes
tarte’s best-selling mascara lengthens, curls, volumizes and conditions to deliver a 330% increase in lash volume instantly. The high-performance formula is also infused with naturally-derived olive esters to help nourish and protect lashes.

What I think so far...
I am not much of a mascara gal and I don't spend much money on high end mascaras as I think its a waste of money. So when I got this on my Ipsy bag I am really pleased coz I have heard great reviews about it and now I get a chance to try. Most of the high end mascaras I own I get from subscription boxes or when I go to Generation Beauty.

Next up! Birchbox this my 3rd month so I am pretty excited these are what I got this month.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk in Natural Tint
Naturally tinted for brunettes, this formula absorbs grease and revives second-day hair. Shake can. Spray 10 inches from roots. Wait 2 minutes, massage into hair, and brush through.

What I think so far...
I like trying out dry shampoos but I don't buy them on a regular basis so I am happy that I got this as I work away from home this would come handy if am too lazy to wash my hair which I usually do every other day. I like the feel of clean hair.

Manna Kadar Lip Locked
All-in-one primer, stain, and gloss that's loaded with nourishing vitamins A and E. Sweep onto lips for stay-all-day color.

What I think so far...
This was my sample choice for this month I love trying out lipsticks and lip stains so I excited to try this out soon.

SeaRx Anti-Wrinkle Facial Lift Treatment Serum
With Dead Sea Minerals and potent hydrators, this formula fights wrinkles and fine lines. Smooth a thin layer onto clean skin. Wear alone or follow with moisturizer.

What I think so far...
This looks interesting I like using anti-aging products as early as now and am still in search of my Holy grail moisturizer and serum so might try this out and see how it goes.

W3ll People Bio Brightener Stick
The high-performance, all natural formula adds a flattering shimmer while nourishing skin. Using fingertips or a brush, blend onto areas of face you'd like to highlight.

What I think so far...
The swatch of this is very subtle for a highlighter although I have oily skin I just highlight my cupids bow and brow bone so I think it would suits me, we will see. Or maybe I will use this as a eye shadow primer instead. ^.^ I piled on three swatches for the picture below, although when I move my hands it reflects the light and you can see a natural shimmer on the skin.
Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream
This all over hydrator heals and softens everything from rough heels to chapped lips. Apply thin layer to dry skin, and massage in until cream disappears.

What I think so far...
I have seen this on Instagram lately and I want to try it! Cracked heels huh? might give that one a try. I am not a fan of the scent though but as it absorbs to your skin the scent disappears.

TOTAL REVIEW
Over all I like both of my Ipsy and Birchbox this month, although am not a liking how the makeup bags for Ipsy are being designed for a while now, I hope they improve the coming new year. I still need to pick one winner and I based it on the which I got more of the products that I really liked while unboxing them.
